Married at First Sight Season 3: New Season in The Pipeline, Jason Tries to Find His Father, Jamie Wants Doug to Meet Her Ex, And More

It is official! Married at First Sight Season 3 has been renewed even after the unsuccessful run it had in the first two seasons. While Married at First Sight Season 1 saw two couples end up in a workable major and are still together, the second season ended with all the couples deciding to end their marriage.

The social experiment that Married at First Sight works with is spearheaded by Dr. Pepper Schwartz, Dr. Logan Levkoff, Dr. Joseph Cilona and Greg Epstien. They are an expert panel of psychologists, sociologists and sexologists who come together to pick random strangers and match them with another person who according to science is best suited for each other.

Given the disaster that Married at First Sight Season 2 was, there were speculations that the show will be scraped and will be replaced by another show called the Seven Year Switch.

Even though the popular sentiments of the viewers hinted at the fact that Season 3 is not going to see the light of the day, Kinetic Content, that is working with Married at First Sight made it very clear that the premise of the show cannot be criticised simply because the couples couldn’t manage their relationship.

The president of Kinetic Content had said that the pairing for the couples had been done with precision and the tests that they conducted were all approved by the panel of experts. In spite of it all, if the couples do not end up in a happy relationship, it is not something that the network should be blamed for.

It is a social experience and it might not work in all situations, but they do have successful pairing also as can be seen with the two couples in Married at First Sight: The First Year Season 2.

Jamie Otis and Doug Hehner and Cortney Hendrix and Jason Carrion are the two couples from the first season of Married at First Year Season 1 who have continued with their relationship and are still together. Yes, being married is not an easy task, but the couples are not ready to give up on their marriage.

Jason and Cortney were having issues because while Jason wanted to live New York city, Cortney wanted to move to a smaller town like North Carolina in order to start a new family. Cortney even surprised Jason by arranging a trip for the two to the place where she grew up. Jason was initially not up for the whole idea, but after the trip he did agree that he could see his family growing there.

However, Jason wants to sort some major issues with his family before he can start thinking about starting a new family. Jason had previously opened up about his estranged father to Cortney and she had offered to help Jason find his father. Jason had recently located his half-sister on the social media, but is unsure about how to contact her and Cortney comes to his rescue.

In spite of her good intentions, Cortney feels scared that she is an outsider who is getting involved with someone else’s family and if anything does go wrong then Jason will end up blaming her. She is seen confiding about this to her friend Chantel in the recent episode of Married at First Sight: The First Year Season 2.

  1. Jamie should forget her ex or forget Doug; it looks as though she’s playing a game and is being so selfish. I believe she thinks it’s “all about her”.

She is being so disrespectful of her and Doug’s relationship by bringing up her ex-boyfriend. It is always right to be honest, however, some feelings tend to hurt more.

Jamie, move forward or forget your marriage. Look yourself in the mirror before you hurt your husband. Your ex-boyfriend SHOULD NOT meet Doug.

  3. Doug is way too good for Jamie. Her attitude and selfish behavior makes her look like a trap. Doug needs to move on and allow real love a chance to find him. He has married pure trash from a trailer park. Who wants to continue to listen to her talk about their ex? I don’t care how white she bleaches her teeth, how much make up she wears, or the designer clothes…..she will never be good enough for Doug. Trash, trash, and more trash……she wants kids, bigger house, but not Dough

  6. Jamie has not listened to the doctor at all. Leave that ex alone. They have enough issues, why add this person. Smh.
