Mafia 3 Teaser Trailer to Be Showcased at E3 2015, Reports Suggest it’s the Upcoming AAA Title Previously Hinted by Take-Two Interactive, And More!

In the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3 2015), 2K Czech is about to reveal the highly anticipated third installment of the third person shooter Mafia. This will take place before Mafia 3 is officially released to the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the PC on 2016 March. Both publishers 2K Games and developer 2K Czech are yet to confirm the exact release date of Mafia 3 for the next generation gaming consoles and the PC for next year.

In the meantime, Rick Pasqualone, one of Mafia’s voice actors has already teased earlier this year that Mafia is coming soon. By ‘Mafia’, it is obvious that he was referring to the upcoming third installment of Mafia 3. Reports also indicate that Mafia 3’s teaser trailer will be rolled out in E3 2015, scheduled to take place from 16th-18th June at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Mafia 3 is going to be released around 6 years after the launch of its predecessor Mafia 2, for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and Microsoft Windows in August 2010. Reports suggest that 2K Czech took 8 years to develop Mafia 2, since the time it rolled out the first game in the series titled, Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven in 2002.

Mafia has been a very successful video game ever since it was first released on the gaming consoles and PC in 2002. It became a highly successful title due to its gameplay that featured a lot of driving and shooting which, according to Crossmap, normally attracts gamers. Similar to its predecessors, Mafia 3 will be played from a third person’s perspective and players will navigate its world on foot or vehicle.

The story will follow the life of a gangster and his trials to climb through the ranks of Mafia Crime families. Expectations suggest that Joe will play the role of the primary character along with Vito Scaletta. He is a war veteran who gets involved with the Mafia while trying to pay back his father’s debts.

The location setting for Mafia 2 was the fictional Empire Bay, which served as a combination of five major U.S cities: New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston, and Detroit. The present rumors suggest that Mafia 3 will be set in Louissiana, which is most likely a combination of several other cities including Louisiana and a few others.

Reports suggest that Vito and Joe will be accompanied by other famous Mafia characters like Franklin, Mickey, Tony, which was according to the previous casting calls made by 2K Czech.
