Maddie Ziegler Nervous About Becoming a Star, Says She Will Miss Dance Moms While She Is Excited About Trying New Things!

The latest episode of Dance Moms saw the mothers confronting Melissa Gisoni, mother to Maddie Ziegler and Mackenzie and asking if they were leaving the show. Gisoni denied the rumors that were circulating and Maddie also informed that she was completely committed to Dance Moms and ALDC. There were rumors for a long time that Maddie Ziegler and family will be leaving the Lifetime show to focus on her burgeoning career.

It was matter of a few days when the rumors were proven to be correct. Maddie Ziegler is going to leave Dance Moms after the sixth season as she had been asked to become one of the judges in Fox’s kid version of So You Think You Can Dance.

Maddie Ziegler has become one of the household names in the industry. She recently completed her first Hollywood venture, The Book of Henry and then appeared at The Ellen DeGeneres Show where she performed with Sia. She is also set to act in the upcoming film Sisters that Sia is going to write and direct.

Maddie Ziegler did make it big thanks to Dance Moms, but she has realized that there is more to life than participating in dance competitions and appearing in a dance reality television. Maddie Ziegler recently won the Seriously Popular Award at the Nickelodeon Kid’s Choice Award and she spoke out about moving on from Dance Moms.

It was Sia who gave Maddie Ziegler her big break. She saw the young dancer in Lifetime and asked if she wanted to be a part of her video Chandelier in 2014. Maddie agreed and she went on to perform in two other videos for Sia; Elastic Love and Big Girls Cry.

Maddie Ziegler said that dance is always going to be her first preference and that she is going to continue participating in competitions with ALDC, but everything has to change and move on and she is moving on to cooler things and is super excited about it.

Maddie Ziegler informed Teen Vogue that she is a little nervous about being a judge on So You Think You Can Dance. She said that kids were very talented these days and she had to be in the top of her game if she had to prove her worth as the youngest judge on the show.

She is super excited about helping other kids learn and cannot wait for the show to start. Maddie Ziegler is going to be a judge along with the usual judges, Nigel Lythgoe, Paula Abdul and Jason Derulo. She is not scared of being a judge and is in fact super excited to be there with the other judges.

She knows the role that has been cut out for her in the show. She knows that since she is going to be the same age as many of the contestant, she will not criticise and comment on their negatives.

She knows how it feels to be in their shoes and is hence going to be a supportive judge, who will always motivate and encourage the contestants.

Maddie Ziegler is now a household name, but there was a time when she wasn’t popular. Maddie Ziegler spoke to People Magazine about the first time that a fan had recognized and approached her. She was out buying ice cream when a fan walked up to her and asked if she was the dancer from Dance Moms.

  1. I love Maddie and Mackenzie Ziegler, and I am happy that Maddie have gotten great opportunities as far as acting goes, guest appearances here and there, but I really do feel all the way down to my bones that she is making a huge mistake leaving Dance Moms. We all heard the expression before “seize the moment” but she is a child raking huge steps, I Dont want her to get burnt out, and if she continues to do all these things so early in life, then she will. It was bad enough she was home school at such a young age, where she should of been socializing, but at least she still had the girl, now she gonna have to leave the girls too, I’m telling you as much as it is a good deal, I truly believe she needs to slow down and now. The music videos, and movies was all fun and stuff, but she really should just leave it at that for right now. The future is bright and big. To be honest I think Sia is asking to much out of this little girl, come on now 3 music videos, all the Ellen show appearances, Grammies, and now two movies. Stick with dance Maddie. And have anyone thought about what MacKenzie wants, although she is probably happy for her sister, but she have to give dance up too, just because mom can’t be in two places, I feel sorry for MacKenzie. Look Melissa, I know you want the best for Maddie, but you really need to let Maddie take a step back, and it is okay to turn some stuff down. You Dont have to let Maddie accept every opportunity thrown at her. Mark my words if Melissa will not let Maddie slow down, she will crash and burn, let the girl be a kid, while she’s a kid. Not only will Maddie crash and burn, Mackenzie may also may have great animosity in the future towards Melissa. Anyway, good luck!!!

  3. Maddie has outgrown Dance Moms, it happens she is well on her way to achieving her dreams. I feel sure she will always be grateful to Abby and Dance Moms for getting her known Worldwide, but it is time for her to move on.

  5. How old do you think Fonteyn was when the Royal Ballet Scout spotted her, and how old do you think she was when she stopped dancing. She never burnt out as she loved what she did. Maddie is doing it all and has certainly outgrown competition dancing.
