When the first report of Maddie Ziegler leaving Dance Moms was brought to the notice of the stars of the reality television show, they were shocked. Yahoo! News reported that Melissa Gisoni, Maddie Ziegler’s mother had denied the rumor while Maddie Ziegler herself stated that she is committed to ALDC and will not leave the show.
However, with time the truth has come out. Lifetime has made it official that Maddie Ziegler, her sister Mackenzie and their mother Melissa Gisoni will be leaving the show after the sixth season. Maddie Ziegler is leaving the show since she has been asked to be a judge in the kid’s version of the hit dance show So You Think You Can Dance.
Maddie Ziegler came to the lime-light as a dancer through the show Dance Moms. Her trainer Abby Lee Miller, who is also the coach for ALDC has come out to state that she is someone who has created a lot of stars. She said that with Maddie Ziegler leaving the show, she would have created another professional who is going to be hired in different areas in the industry.
Abby Lee Miller is very confident that the show will continue even without Maddie Ziegler and that she will now find another new dancer to train to ultimately create another star. She had been said to be jealous of Maddie Ziegler’s fame and had been reportedly cold and distant towards her favorite student.
While some blamed this on jealousy, others have said that Abby Lee Miller feels that Maddie Ziegler isn’t grateful to the show and the people who have helped her achieve what she has.
According to Teen Vogue, Maddie Ziegler had been training with Abby Lee Miller in her Abby Lee Dance Company since she was a four-year-old kid and she has to let go of it now that has career started becoming more hectic.
Maddie had taken a leave from Lifetime so that she could finish shooting her first Hollywood venture, The Book of Henry and had returned for Dance Moms Season 6 the moment she had wrapped up her shoot. However, she has recently seen a spate of interesting work and had to end her stint with Dance Moms.
Maddie Ziegler will continue to perform with ALDC, but will not be featuring in Dance Moms since she doesn’t have the time. Maddie Ziegler is more interested in acting and has another project in hand. She has closely worked with Sia and there are rumors suggesting that she is set to play a role in Sia’s upcoming feature film called Sisters.
With her creating a name for herself in the big league, Maddie Ziegler no longer wants to spend time in a television reality show. She is super excited about being the youngest judge on Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance.
She is a little nervous since she is the youngest and it being a kid’s show this time round, she will have to be the best in her game.
Since Fox is experimenting with the format of the popular dance show, there are no official confirmation on whether the kid’s version is going to run for this year only of whether it will become a common feature. Along with Maddie Ziegler, the regular judges, Paula Abdul, Nigel Lythgoe and Jason Derulo back as judges.
