Longmire Season 5 has been confirmed by Netflix, but there isn’t any confirmation on when the season is going to be released. Netflix knows about the kind of popularity the show has been enjoying and they are very particular about keeping things related to the upcoming season, completely wrapped up. There are no reports on when the show is going to start filming as well.
However, in order to make the fans happy and satisfied, they have been occasionally coming out with tit-bits on the official Facebook of Longmire Season 5 about spoilers that will help the fans realize what they can expect from the upcoming season. The recent photo that was revealed shows, Lou Diamond Phillips, who plays the role of Henry Standing Bear running after a moving car.
Henry Standing Bear had been arrested in the end of Longmire Season 4 and there is speculation on whether he will be able to prove his innocence and come out the prison. There is another photo that has been released, that shows Henry Standing Bear walking. These two photos have gone a long way to make the fans speculate about the fate of the character.
Lou Diamond Phillips has himself said that Season 5 of Longmire is going to be a very interesting one. He has also let it out that the series will start shooting in March and fans will have to wait until November until they can watch the whole series.
Unlike the usual networks, Netflix releases the whole series at a single go and this makes it difficult for the fans to find out what is going to happen in the upcoming episodes from the spoilers that are circulated online.
Master Herald has hinted that Longmire Season 5 is going to see a focus on Walt Longmire’s (Robert Taylor) romantic relationship. The official Facebook page had also shared a photo of Walt and Vic (Katee Sackhoff) and had asked the viewers if they think that the two of them will get involved romantically.
The novel by Craig Johnson on which the show has been based, sees Walt and Vic falling for each other, but that doesn’t seem likely in the series. For one, Vic is way younger than Longmire and there is a general sentiment among the viewers and she is young enough to be his daughter. This is seen as a deliberate move by the showrunners to make sure that nothing romantic is possible between Longmire and Vic.
Walt Longmire is going to start getting closer to Dr. Donna Monaghan (Ally Walker). The fourth season ends with the two of them spending some time with each other at Walt’s house when someone breaks in.
The fifth season of Longmire is going to pick up from that exact same spot. Master Herald has reported that Donna isn’t going to be as naïve as she looks.
There are reports suggesting Donna is working closely with Walter Browning (Callum Keith Rennie). Walter Browning was absent from the hospital bed and there could be a possibility of him breaking into Longmire’s house.
Walter is one of those many who can have a problem with Longmire since he always seems to come in between him and his plans. It wouldn’t have been possible for Walter to find out the exact location of Longmire’s home and that is where Donna comes into the picture.
