Lombardo Hints at True Detective Season 3, Hollywood A-Listers Not Interested in the Upcoming Season, And More

Nic Pizzolatto has a contract with HBO which expires in 2018 and hence it was very obvious that he will still be working with HBO. He is too talented a writer and too gifted for HBO to stop working with him because of the lukewarm response that Season 2 of True Detective has received.

Now with reports suggesting that True Detective Season 3 is on the cards, there is another problem that Nic Pizzolatto and HBO will have to tackle.

With the kind of negative response that the show garnered in the second season, there are hardly any A-listed actors who are willing to be associated with the show. The first two seasons had actors like Colin Farrell, Matthew McConaughey, Vince Vaughn, Rachel McAdams, Woody Harrelson, to name a few.

Now with the show receiving so many flaks in the previous season, there are very few big names from the industry who want their name to be associated with the show.

There are rumors that Idris Elba is being considered for a role in True Detective. Fans of the series are hoping that HBO and Nic Pizzolatto give their all to make sure that True Detective Season 3 is a success.
