If Lady Gaga starts to fade out in the pop scene, she can definitely become a full-time jazz singer. Her voice has a classic and timeless quality when it is not disturbed by machines and other ARTPOP stuff.
If you have no idea what I’m talking about, be sure to check out her operatic cover of John Lennon’s ‘Imagine’, her collaborations with Tony Bennett and her show-stopping performance at Oscars.
Lady Gaga paid tribute to one of history’s greatest jazz singers during her appearance at the Frank Sinatra 100 All-Star Grammy concert in Las Vegas earlier this month. She decided to churn out a pristine and highly powerful rendition of Sinatra’s ‘New York, New York’.
Lady Gaga, whose original name is Stefani Germanotta, grew up in New York. As a result, it felt especially perfect when she churned out lines like “If I can make it there, I’ll make it anywhere. It’s up to you, New York, New York,” Meanwhile, the video of her performance recently surfaced online and you can head over and check it out.
In other news, this year was a really good one for Lady Gaga. She received a nomination for Golden Globe Awards and landed a part in the hit show American Horror Story. From the looks of it, it felt like the year couldn’t get any better for Lady Gaga.
However, there seems to be much more excitement in store for her as she might end up exchanging vows with Taylor Kinney of Chicago Fire. Kenney decided to talk about his wedding plans with Lady Gaga during his recent interview with Wet Paint.
He further revealed that the fans might be in for a bit of surprise from their end. According to Kenney, the wedding plans are going pretty great and they might end up surprising everyone with their schemes.
Furthermore, he declared that the wedding was in works for the summer of 2016. Tantalizingly, Kenny did not reveal the nature of this particular surprise. We all know that Lady Gaga has a certain flair for being extremely shocking and ridiculously extravagant. Considering all that, the revered ceremony is sure to come with some unexpected twists and turns.
These comments by Kinney soon arrived after the exciting news that Lady Gaga has received a Golden Globe nomination for her performance on American Horror Story: Hotel. Kinney explained that Lady Gaga had put in a lot of work for her role in AHS and he was very excited about her Golden Globe nomination while speaking with TooFab.
Kinney further explained to the outlet that he almost jumped out of his seat while hearing about it. At that time, he was on a van on his way to work. He revealed that he is pretty excited and really proud of her. He considers it amazing and he is aware of how she has been killing it in the show and that she has done an overall great job with it.
In case you are not aware, Gaga played the part of The Countess in this hit drama show, a character who was the manager of the hotel. Kinney further mentioned that even though he helped Gaga a lot, he couldn’t take all the credit for her wonderful performance.
His fellow Chicago Fire co-stars, Eamonn Walker and Monica Raymund played an important part by practicing lines with Lady Gaga.
Meanwhile, the Wednesday episode of American Horror Story clearly revealed that Lady Gaga’s sinister vampire character doesn’t like to be tested and the way she exacted her revenge resulted in some major surprise among a lot of viewers.
