Kingdom Hearts III Will Release Sometime In 2017, Rumors Suggest Addition of Daybreak Town, Lightsaber, and Captain America’s Shield, More Details

Lately, there has been an absence of any news regarding Kingdom Hearts 3 and, therefore, a lot of rumors and speculations are being released online, in order to satisfy the longtime fans of this series.

According to one of the latest rumors, Daybreak Town will be added in the game. There are high chances and possibilities regarding Daybreak Town to be added into the game.

There have been discussions regarding a possible “making of the game” video shown at the D23 event, where Square Enix, the game developer, displayed a 3D version of the Daybreak Town. If Daybreak Town is not featured in the upcoming Kingdom Hearts 3, there is no reason for it to be included by the team, as reported by Gaming Bolt.

Similar to Traverse Town and Radiant Garden, Daybreak Town is a hub designed for the player. This particular town has appeared in Kingdom Hearts X.

According to Vine Report, there was a rumor suggesting that Kingdom Hearts 3 may feature Star Wars and Marvel characters and more excitingly, Sora will be making use of Luke’s lightsaber and Captain America’s Shield.

According to a Square Enix Blog Notes Post, an older version of Sora will be featured in Kingdom Hearts 3, and this character will go on adventures with Disney Characters.

Meanwhile, the rumors involving Star Wars and Marvel Crossover are quite faint at the moment. Tetsuya Nomura, the game director said that even if they are considering an expansion of the game, there will be restrictions to make use of other franchises, due to the restrictions that have been imposed by Disney.

In other news, IGN stated that Square Enix and Disney had devised plans for a Kingdom Hearts television adaptation, but this particular project was ultimately canceled.

Following the success of the first Kingdom Hearts, an animated adaptation was put into production and it finally released on PlayStation 2 back in 2002.

Story board artist Seth Kearsley of Disney’s television animation division directed and wrote the plot for the potential series.

In the end, it resulted in being a ‘vastly different interpretation’ of the game’s original story and, therefore, Disney and Square Enix decided to cancel the project even though it was well-received by audiences.

There were concerns over the fact that this show would conflict with the overall plot. Kingdom Hearts III will be released on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, but it is presently under development.  A release date is yet to be announced, but it could be as late as 2017.

Meanwhile, another batch of rumors indicates that besides Traverse Town, there will be two new weapons and the latest gameplay features will be included in Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8.

According to Tetsuya Nomura, Kingdom Hearts III gameplay features could be included in “Kingdom Hears HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue” for the PlayStation 4 console.

HD versions of “Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, a short film titled “Kingdom Hearts Chi Back Cover and a new game called “Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep – A Fragmentary Passage” starring Aqua of “Birth by Sleep” will be featured in the game.

Gamers will be able to control Aqua in “Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep A Fragmentary Passage”, as reported by Square Enix.

Gamerant reported that players will be introduced to some of the KHIII elements and fans will finally receive a small demo of the third installment in the Kingdom Hearts series. The strategies from previous games have been maintained the Japanese Company.

An example of this is seen in “Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae” demo” and it was available for download, only if gamers purchased the “Final Fantasy Type-0 HD” title.
