Kingdom Hearts 3 is going to be the next addition to the popular Kingdom Hearts franchise of action-adventure video games. Some previous reports suggested that the game would be rolled out by Square Enix within the ongoing year.
However, some latest reports claim that King Hearts 3 will not see the light of the day before the first half of 2017. The reason behind this could be accounted to the fact that the voice actor of the character Axel- Quinton Flynn is yet to record anything for the game.
The first half quarter of 2016 is at its end and thus it is being speculated that the game will not be released within the ongoing year.
That being said, rumors are also doing rounds which suggest that Square Enix is postponing the release of the game to shift its attention towards another game that will be released by the company within 2016. The game in question here is Final Fantasy XV.
The upcoming iteration of Final Fantasy XV is a much anticipated title and thus Square Enix might decide to dedicate all its attention and resources on it to ensure that the game is rolled out smoothly without any hiccups.
Rolling out two games in the same year could mean that the company will have to divide its resources among both of them which might not be beneficial for either of them in the long run. Releasing both the games within a short span of time would divide gamers who will find it difficult to choose one over the other.
This will most likely have an effect on the sales of both Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3. Thus, it is being speculated that Square Enix might push back the release date of Kingdom Hearts 3 to carve a clear path for Final Fantasy XV.
On a previous instance, Quinton Flynn posted the following message on his Twitter handle- “Speaking of Axel, when is the new Kingdom Hearts going into production? Step it up. Quinton needs to pay his bills!”
It was previously reported that Gargoyles will be included in Kingdom Hearts 3. It should be mentioned here that Gargoyles is an animated series that was produced by Walt Disney Television Animation and Buena Vista Television. The show had hit the television during the 1990s period.
Gargoyles was previously considered to be incorporated into the upcoming game. However, some fresh reports suggest that it is unlikely to happen.
Renowned comic book and animation writer- Greg Weisman, while talking about the matter at the MomoCon 2015 in Atlanta stated– “That’s been discussed, and I’d love it–it’s not up to me. When I knew people who were involved [that] tried to push it, there was a point where I thought we were getting close on Kingdom Hearts…and then the guys I knew who were working on it got fired. I’d be very open to it, but obviously I don’t even work at Disney anymore.”
Gargoyles is quite popular among fans and the rumors of its inclusion in Kingdom Hearts 3 were happily welcomed by fans. Regardless of what Weisman stated, fans are still speculating that Square Enix might finally include Gargoyles in Kingdom Hearts 3.
Fans have been speculating about the various characters that will be featured in the upcoming game, some names that are currently doing rounds in this regard include- Iron Man, Darth Vader from Star Wars series, Elsa of Frozen, Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Pirates of the Caribbean’s Jack Sparrow, Peter Pan, Mulan, Notre Dame’s Hunch Back and Lion King.
