Jennifer Lawrence: Talks About Fan Criticism, Friend Amy Schumer And Stands By David Russell!

Jennifer Lawrence and her movie roles have led to a lot of discussion. Her recent film called Joy has her playing the role of a 34 year old woman. Jennifer Lawrence plays the role of Joy Mangano, who as a single mother developed the prototype for the Miracle Mop. While her casting in the role of women who are clearly older than her has given rise to a lot of discussion, Lawrence couldn’t care less.

In an interview she defended her director David Russell saying that he gets characters. He gets into a creative zone from where he creates these roles and the petty things talks about doesn’t bother him.

Jennifer admitted that she wasn’t old enough for American Hustle and she was too young for her role in The Silver Linings Playbook, and she almost didn’t get the roles. She also played the love interest of actors who were at least 15 years older than her in both the films.

Jennifer Lawrence said that she isn’t complaining about the situation since she is benefitting out of it. This comment comes a few days after Ann Hathaway said that she is realising the effects of age, since she is losing out on roles to younger actresses.

David Russell keeps going to Lawrence for each of his movies and it is no wonder that she keeps on agreeing to do them. Who wouldn’t want to work with a director who got her, her first Oscar, right at the start of her career.
