Jared Leto is going to be on screen this August with his role as the Joker in Suicide Squad. The actor has been rumored to get into the skin of the character and now his co-star Viola Davis has spoken to Vanity Fair about the eccentricity that he engaged in, off and on screen.
Davis spoke about Jared Leto’s tendency of sending scary gifts to his co-stars. Jared Leto had ended up horrifying Viola Davis when he gifted her a pig. Davis said that Jared Leto would remain in his character even after he was done doing his part of the screen. He supposedly had hired a henchman who would come into the rehearsal with his gifts and simply drop them off and walk away.
According to US Magazine, Jared Leto asked his henchman to come into the rehearsal room and drop off the dead pig on the table and walk off. This happened on the day of the rehearsal when the cast members met each other for the first time. With Jared Leto dropping in with a dead pig on the first day itself, made his presence known among the others in the cast and crew.
Viola Davis confessed that she was scared of Jared Leto. She wondered if he was crazy and then it hit her what a superb actor he was that he was already in the skin of the character when they haven’t even gotten down to shooting for the film. Viola Davis plays the role of Amanda Waller in Suicide Squad. She is the one who is the mastermind behind bringing in the Suicide Squad.
Viola Davis told Games Radar that Jared Leto was the one who made sure that each of the actors would have their best foot forward when they would get on the floor. Jared Leto inspired her to bring her stuff together for the role in Suicide Squad.
Jared Leto hasn’t only made a memorable appearance on the day of the rehearsal. He has continued to portray his eccentricity even while working on the film. Margot Robbie, who plays the role of Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad was gifted a black rat that was still alive.
Jared Leto is making a lot of waves with his portrayal of the Joker even before the film could release. Joker is by far the most popular villain in Hollywood and Jared Leto is surely making the character his own.
