She is a brilliant paleo microbiologist who was focused on discovering the cure. Viewers watched the USS Nathan James battle with evil for two seasons to profit off the death of innocent lives along with people choosing who should live and who shouldn’t. Crew members were lost in battle and to the virus, but viewers remained captivated.
Season 3 is heading into political waters and allowing Dr. Rachel Scott’s death. There is the possibility of a war developing between the United States and China while the new government is showcased. According to some people, the new storyline is coming too close to home.
In the modern world, we have seen a lot of wars and the destruction it results in. We seek solace after switching on the TV and staying away from all of it.
Thankfully, we managed to do that in Season 1 and 2 of The Last Ship, but the volume was turned up in Season 3. Captain Slattery is now controlling the Nathan James, and many of its crew members are held in captivity.
From the looks of it, a strong man coming up in China will be trying to use the cure as leverage for controlling his neighbors.
