HTC One M9 Compared to the iPhone 6S Plus and the LG Nexus 5!

The recent reports indicate that HTC One M9 is supposed to take on the latest iPhone from Apple. Let us take a look at how these devices stack up against each other. The 6S Plus is considered to be among the greatest phablets in the market with its curved edges and metal unibody design.

The iPhone 6S also comes with an upgraded Touch ID fingerprint scanner that is housed in its home button. Compared to the HTC One M9, the size of the iPhone 6S is greater and it also available in four different colors like rose, gold, silver and gray.

The HTC One M9, on the other hand, has a metal body which doesn’t come with a fingerprint scanner and this can be considered to be a major disadvantage of this device. When it comes to colors, the HTC handset is available in different colors like amber gold, gold/pink combination, and silver/gold combination.

3D Touch technology was included in the iPhone 6S and it comes with hardware that can recognize the amount of pressure that is being applied to the display. It has an IPS LCD touchscreen with a full-HD display and a screen size of 5.5inches. The device also has a 401ppi pixel density.

Compared to that, the HTC One M9 has a 5.0inch Super LCD 3 screen with 5.0inches display and 1080p display resolution and 441ppi pixel density. The HTC One M9 runs on the Snapdragon 810 chipset along with an octa-core CPU containing a quad-core Cortex-A57 processor that is callable of clocking at 2GHz, an Adreno 430 GPU along with four Cortex-A53 cores, capable of clocking at 1.5GHz.

However, the iPhone 6S Plus comes with the A9 processor that is significantly faster and better than the processor in the iPhone 6 Plus. It comes with two cores that are clocked at 1.84GHz and along with that, it has a PowerVR GT7600 GPU. Both of these devices come with a 2-year contract, but the HTC One M9 is cheaper at $199 compared to the iPhone 6S Plus, available at $299.

Now let’s take a look at how the HTC One M9 matches up against the LG Nexus 5X. Since the original HTC One M7, the company has continued to develop all-metal devices and around two generations later, people were getting slowly bored with the tiresome metal design.

As a result, HTC made some changes with the One M9 in its outward appearance but there was a subtle redesign provided around the sides of the body along with better gripping provided by a small lip. The device still has the nicely curved back which makes this device an absolute pleasure to hold.

The Nexus 5X has a 5.2 FHD LCD display with 424 PPI, compared to the 5-inch Super LCD3 FHD display sporting 1920 x 1080 pixels along with 441 PPI in the HTC One M9. Both of these devices make use of FHD technology instead of the UHD displays being used in most flagships at the moment.

In the HTC One M9, you will find a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor with 4 cores clocked at 1.5GHZ and 4 cores clocked at 2.0GHz. Compared to that, the Nexus 5X has a 64-bit Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor.

We are not sure whether this was done to reduce the costs or stay away from the overheating problems that keep plaguing these processors.

In the One M9, you will find a 32GB internal storage capacity which is expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card. It also has 3GB of RAM compared to the Nexus 5X which comes with 2GB and internal storage of 16GB and 32GB with no options of expanding the storage further.
