The Nexus 6P was released back in October last year while HTC One M10 released on 12th April. Both these devices feature full metallic chassis and the One M10 is available in four different colors, grey, silver, gold and red. The 6P, on the other hand, is available in Graphite, aluminum, and frost. The One M10 is 9mm thick compared to the 7.3mm thickness in the 6P.
The HTC One M10 has a 5.2inch Super LCD 5 display. The Nexus 6P has a larger 5.7inch display, featuring Quad-HD resolution. The One M10 has a 12-megapixel camera on the rear along with a 5-megapixel front shooter.
There is a 12megapixel rear shooter in the Nexus 6P along with an 8-megapixel front camera. Under the hood, the HTC One M10 has a Snapdragon 820 System-on-a-chip processor, along with 4GB of RAM. Compared to that, the Nexus 6P houses an 810SoC processor and runs on 3GB of RAM. Both of these devices have 32 and 64GB internal storage options.
The Nexus 6P doesn’t have any SD card slot but the HTC One M10 sports a microSD slot for storage expansion. At the same time, the Nexus 6P has a 128GB storage variant as well. Both these devices have latest features such as dual front-facing speakers, fingerprint readers, and USB Type-C slots.
There is a 3000mAh battery on the HTC One M10 while the Nexus 6 has a 3450mAh battery. The HTC One M10 pricing for carrier variants is yet to be revealed but the unlocked model is available at $699. Amazon is currently selling the Nexus 6P 32GB at a price of 449 dollars while the 128GB variant is available at 599 dollars.
In the meantime, the HTC M10 has finally released in Australia. The device was released early this month, in the country. Starting from 3rd May, it is available at a price of $1080. This makes is 100 dollars less than the Samsung Galaxy S7. At the same time, it is also $200 lower than the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
The LG G5 was launched 3rd May as well which means that the M10 will be facing competition. The G5 will be available for a price of $1099. In the United States and UK, the HTC One M10 was available for pre-orders, soon after it was launched on 12th April. The 5.2inch Super LCD 5 display in the One M10 is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4.
In other news, people are not really happy about the HTC One M10. The device appears to be rather shady due to the hidden nature of its monthly security patch level. A lot of people thought that this was not present in the handset but it is actually hidden.
The updates and security level on these phones need to be transparent in order to win customer satisfaction and trust. At the same time, a few owners are worried that HTC might have hidden the screen on time stats, in HTC One M10’s battery details. The same thing was noticed in many other HTC devices.
The reason behind this could be the poor battery life on HTC devices. This was first noticed in the HTC One X, which featured a very poor battery life. Although people have been talking about the security patch, the chance of something actually happening is pretty low.
In all other aspects, HTC One M10 is a superior device, quite worthy of the flagship status in the present market. Earlier, HTC stuck to its full-HD displays but this time, the M10 features a Quad-HD display with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. It is vivid and extremely sharp and features a high pixel density of 564ppi.
