HTC One M10: Codenamed Perfume, Might Come with Android 6.1 And Sense UI 8.0, One Watch to Make Its Debut Alongside the M10!

The next flagship handset from HTC might make its appearance in the spring of 2016. Though no concrete news is available regarding the device, the rumor mill is already busy spinning up a host of rumors related to the device. Apparently, the HTC One M10 will be given the codename- HTC Perfume.

Its predecessor, the HTC One M9 was not able to offer a smooth service to its users and took in a lot of complaints against itself from them in the process. With the M10, HTC is reportedly trying to make up for the poor show that it put up with the M9.

According to a renowned tech site, the M10 will come with Android 6.1 OS by default and it will also feature the Sense UI version 8.0 created by HTC.

Other rumors regarding the device are stating that it will sport a 6-inch screen with a 1440 x 2560 pixels resolution Quad HD display. There is a possibility that another variant of the device will launch with a 5-inch display.

Under its hood, the M10 will come fitted with Qualcomm’s latest offering, the Snapdragon 820 along with 4 GB of RAM. The M9 made its appearance with the Snapdragon 810 which faces overheating issues, thus, it could be safely assumed that the developers won’t be using the same faulty chipset in the M10.

The device will pack a total internal storage space of 64 GB or 128 GB. The storage space could be increased by users by using an external microSD card.

It will reportedly come with a 20.7-megapixel camera on its back along with a 5-megapixel selfie shooter on its front. An enhanced autofocus technology will be a distinct feature of the rear camera.

A powerful 3500mAh battery will keep the device up and running through the course of the day.

The developers may design the Perfume by taking inspirations from another of their flagship model the HTC One A9. Though these claims are unconfirmed, it should be noted that HTC had already stated in the past that the company intends on adopting the design language of the A9 in its upcoming flagship handsets in the future.

HTC had earlier introduced a major change in the A9 by removing the BoomSound Speakers from the device. Along with the removal of the BoomSound Speakers, the company incorporated a better quality DAC in the device which would enhance its headphone performance.

BoomSound speakers are a regular in premium HTC phones. However, they require a lot of space to be incorporated in a device making it larger than necessary. Thus it is a big question at the moment whether BoomSound will be integrated in the M10 or not.

The device might also come with the support for Quick Charge 3.0. Wireless charging may not be an available option for this device as rumors are suggesting that it will sport a metal body.

It is not clear at the moment whether the M10 will come with the USB Type-C, which is being incorporated by most companies in their smartphones recently. The device might boast a fingerprint reader as well for an improved security for its users.

No official statement has been made by the developers yet regarding the release date of the device. It was reported in a popular website that the M10 might make its appearance after the mid-range HTC One X9 hits the market in the first quarter of 2016.

The device will reportedly see the light of the day in spring 2016 which will make sure that there is a considerable amount of gap between the launch of the X9 and the M10.

The X9 will reportedly sport a 5.5 inches screen with 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution with 401 ppi. The device will run on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop and will come with a 2.2GHz octa-core processor on the inside along with 2GB of RAM.
