The official synopsis of midseason premiere of How to Get Away with Murder Season 2 has been released by ABC. The midseason finale saw Annalise Keating (Viola Davis) being shot to cover up what had happened at the Hapstall house.
The midseason premiere is going to see Wes (Alfred Enoch) struggling with the fact that he had shot Annalise and it will also see the fallout of the Wes and The Keating 5 deal. Annalise didn’t die even after being shot and the rest of the season will see her struggling to recover.
Things became very complicated towards the end of the midseason finale of How to Get Away with Murder. It was realized that the original name of Wes is Christophe and that he had gone through a tough time thanks to something that Annalise and Eve (Famke Janssen) were involved in, when Wes was a little child.
ET Online spoke to Viola Davis about what fans can expect in the series when it returns after the midseason hiatus. She said that Annalise will survive the attack and she will struggle to make things work out. She also revealed that fans will get to see the interesting back story that was hinted in the mid season finale.
When Wes pulled the trigger on Annalise, she calls out the name Christophe. This was a clear enough hint that there is more than what meets the eye. The relationship between Annalise and Wes will be one about protection and responsibility.
Viola Davis stated that many of the queries that fans have will be answered and many more will be created for the later episodes to clear.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Pete Nowalk, the showrunner of the successful series had said that they had nothing about a relationship between Annalise and Wes in the draft of the script. It was only while they were going through it did they feel like they should add certain elements that will be different and yet let the story centre on its main plot.
Pete Nowalk added that once they had worked out the story, they realized how interesting it and said that they always tend to look forward in a story, but for a change it felt interesting to look back into it.
The official trailer for the second half of the second season of How to Get Away with Murder is out. The trailer doesn’t throw much light on the coming season, but it did reveal some moments that guarantee an exciting midseason. There is drama and action galore when the second half on Season 2 returns on the television screen.
There was a scene that showed Catherine Hapstall (Amy Okuda) being assaulted by Frank (Charlie Weber). Another scene showed Asher and one had Bonnie stating that she is back.
There is one scene in the trailer that shows Annalise lying on the hospital bed and Laurel (Karla Souza) watching her from outside the room. There is a trailer that shows Annalise holding a little baby and crying and the general feeling is that the baby is Wes.
The second half of How TO Get Away with Murder will see Wes trying to figure out how his teacher, Annalise Keating knew his original name, Christophe. Wes hasn’t been called by that particular name for a very long time and he tries to find out how could Annalise know about it. Annalise is also in a bad mental state and things are just made worse with the recovery.
