Fans of Halo 5: Guardians were sent scampering on Sunday evening when Developer 343 Industries fired off an Alternate Reality Game (ARG).  The main objective is to hunt down and piece together bits of a large poster designed for the Xbox One exclusive in the form of a puzzle. Till now, the result included revealing some of the possible co-op characters for the first person shooter title which sets the podium for Team Chief vs. Team Locke along with some old favorites.

The parts and pieces of images from the Halo 5 posters are being distributed by Microsoft and 343 Industries. They have been revealed through tweets from the official Halo account along with the Xbox Germany Facebook page. Furthermore, there are hidden links on the official page of Halo 5: Guardians. The German website Halo Orbit has compiled all of the information and made a poster.  It features the present showdown between Master Chief and Spartan Jameson Locke.

The more interesting details are being filled in, especially with two different groups of four characters each standing underneath.  Meanwhile, according to the latest updates, 343 Industries shared the final images through Xbox Wire. On the left, beneath Locke, you will notice something that appears to be Master Chief’s team of Spartans. It looks like the Blue Team that Master Chief was running about within the Halo: Escalation Comics from Dark Horse. The team presently comprises of Chief (John-117), Frederic-104, Kelly-087, and Linda-058.

However, there’s no confirmation as to the team that is present on the Locke side of the equation but speculations from Reddit indicate that it could be some of the old favorites like Buck and Romeo from Halo 3: ODST. Both of these characters joined the Spartan IV program that was showcased in Halo: New Blood novel. Furthermore, their entry in Guardians will definitely explain why they needed a book in order to be a part of the franchise’s extended universe.
