Half-Life 3 Rumors Suggest That It Might Release in 2018, to Come with Full VR-Compatibility, Valve Dropping Hints Regarding the Game? Let’s See

A Reddit user recently reported that he was able to find a Lambada which was hidden inside the holiday sale of Steam. The sign is significant as it is the logo of the Half-Life series. This too led to speculations that it could be another hint that is giving confirmation of some sort regarding the existence of the game.

In the month of February, a Steam VR Performance Test was held by Valve. This test was supposed to let gamers know if their devices are capable of running the games. Some of the fans who were a part of the test claimed that inside the folders of the test, some files were present which had references to Half-Life 3.

Coming back to the matter of VR-compatibility, it seems logical as, if the game is released in 2018, the VR technology will become well tried and tested by then. By that time the technology will most likely find its application in most games and thus Half-Life 3 too might be developed with this technology.

Some reports are also suggesting that Valve is holding on to Half-Life 3 for the moment. Apparently, the company is waiting for the right moment to release the game with VR-compatibility which work towards boosting sales for both the VR headsets and also the game itself.
