Half Life 3 Probably Won’t Release But Team Fortress 2 and Easter Eggs Keep the Faith Alive, More Information

There was an article published on GameSpot, June 1998 which reads, “Valve LLC announced last week that it had acquired the Australian developer TF Software Pty. Ltd., the creators of Team Fortress, perhaps the most popular team-oriented multiplayer module for Quake available over the Internet.”

Valve wanted to release Team Fortress 2 and they promised it after the success of this popular online game. However, we are all aware of the fact that Team Fortress 2 wasn’t released any time soon. On the contrary, it took 3417 days before the world got the first glimpse of Team Fortress 2. People who played it last probably got married by that time.

It relates to a wait of 9 long years but recently, this record was beaten by Half-Life 3 which is still eerily absent from the gaming world but nonetheless achieving. Gabe Newell declared that after Orange Box, they have to release Episode 3.

They are aware of how the trilogy ends and there are a bunch of loose ends and narrative arcs which need a proper conclusion in episode 3, so as a result, it is going to be a major focus for Valve. These were the days when people started thinking Half-Life 3 was just around the corner.

However, recently Half-Life 3 started receiving reports and news which were extremely negative. From the alleged rumors and reports, Valve is not at all interested in releasing Half-Life 3. However, as mentioned before, Team Fortress 2 took around 9 years for Valve to release. Does this fact instill a little faith in you?

Apparently, it seems like Valve has finished major parts of Half-Life 3 but they are just not ready to release it to the world yet. Prior to the Orange Box, Gabe Newell and Valve will totally ready to release Half-Life 3. However, the developer has totally changed after their shift to online multiplayer experience from single player.

The profits are quite high and Valve sure loves all of it. They love the interactions that they have with online fans and all the amount of money they make from micro-transactions in simply three games.

Therefore, it is difficult to blame Valve not willing to give a release date to Half-Life 3. However, all of us out there still believe that Half-Life 3 is under development and something just keeps telling us that it will release.

Meanwhile, websites keep getting more impatient day by day. It seems writers who loved posting rumors and speculations regarding the game are slowly starting to give up, with the same pieces of information being circulated and rounded by most sources.

For example, it was recently announced that Half-Life 3 won’t come in Virtual Reality or promise a VR experience. Does that mean yeah, it is in development but won’t be VR? We just don’t know.

We have reached a point of time when Valve needs to stop beating about the bush and just come out with an official declaration whether or not they are going to release Half-Life 3.

Since the release of Half-Life 2 Episode 2, Valve has released a lot of other games like Portal 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Portal, Left 4 Dead, Left 4 Dead 2, Alien Swarm, and Dota 2. They have accomplished a lot in these 9 long years. Team Fortress 2 received a lot of crazy updates and some excellent holiday themes as well.

Meanwhile, Gabe Newell talked about the development of the next Half-Life game but it always ended up in another vague confirmation. Newell said that they would only do it if the Valve developers wanted to and also had a valid reason behind it.
