Another actor who was approached to be a part of the film was David Bowe. However, in this case also, the actor’s unfortunate demise forced the filmmakers to change their plans.
Rumors are doing rounds on the internet that Al Pacino is in talks with the filmmakers to star in the upcoming film. He will reportedly be seen playing the role of The Grandmaster in the movie. The Grandmaster is being touted as an Elder of the Universe. Apparently, he will have some sort of connection to story.
Various reports suggest that Gunn wanted Al Pacino to lend his voice to a living planet! The name of this planet would have been Ego. However, the idea was deemed to be too risky by Disney and thus it was ultimately scrapped off.
A number of images from the sets of the upcoming film were recently released that showed Zoe Saldana in full make-up for her character Gamora, ready to shoot for the film. Chris Pratt was also seen in the images in full character-mode on the sets. Karen Gillan’s Nebula was also spotted in the images.
Guardians of the Galaxy 2 will hit the big screen on May 5, 2017.
