Yamauchi clearly acknowledged the fact that this game will run great on the PS4. He said, “Everything will be running naturally. PS3 was much, much more difficult. The high quality of data that we have being rendered on the PS4 I think is going to make an incredible difference.”
He further added, “For GT7, myself and my staff have a clear vision: to do everything we couldn’t do in GT6. We want to make it very Gran Turismo. By that I mean it’s going to be a game that matches the very era that we live in, in 2015 or 2016.”
During an interview in 2013 with Famitsu, Yamauchi recognized the difference between Gran Turismo 6 on the PS3 and Gran Turismo 7 on the PS4. Apparently, the large memory size of PlayStation 4 is quite a unique trait. Yamauchi further added “….the PS3’s Cell chip, while difficult to handle, is really capable.
They both have different advantages. Besides, I think the online community aspect, one of the most fun parts of GT, doesn’t have anything to do with the platform. “He declared that Gran Turismo 7 will probably be completed in a year or two and the community aspect should be a very vital point here.
