Gran Turismo 7 to Release by 2018, to Run Smoothly On the Current-Generation Playstation 4!

Kazunori Yamauchi series creator of car racing video gaming franchise Gran Turismo 7 declared that the upcoming seventh installment of the series will be naturally running on the PlayStation 4.

The reports indicate that Gran Turismo 7 will release on the PS4 and Yamauchi already pointed out that it was easier to develop the game on this console and was further easier for the development team to design the game due to the excellent technical capability of the present generation gaming console from Sony.

He further added that it would have been more difficult if the game was developed on PlayStation 3. It was further explained that the high quality of data they have managed to render on the PlayStation 4, will make an amazing difference and gamers will definitely notice it while playing the game, as revealed by Crossmap.

Reports indicate that Gran Turismo 7 will be released sometime in 2018 and it will come with support for PlayStation VR technology. The reports began after the statement from Sony PlayStation President Shuhei Yoshida during the EGX 2015, when he declared that he wants the game to come out on PS4 and the console is already capable of supporting VR.

Keep in mind that Sony is yet to confirm when VR technology will become available on the PlayStation 4. Due to the impending release of Gran Turismo Sport this year, the release date of Gran Turismo 7 was pushed back to 2017 or 2018.

There have been rumors going around that the game developer Polyphony Digital has already cancelled their former game, as reported by Lawyer Herald.

However, the rumors might not be true since Kazunori Yamauchi further confirmed that Gran Turismo 7 will be a completely different game in the form of a standalone title but at the same time, it will enjoy the same make-up. In regards to Gran Turismo 7, the series creator definitely wanted to keep the rumors in check since the developer has not issued anything official after Gran Turismo Sport was announced last year.

From the looks of it, the game developer doesn’t wish to be bothered by gamers endlessly asking about the game and its eventual release on the PlayStation 4. Sony may or may not admit it but there are a good number of gamers all over the world who are playing games using PS3 instead of PS4; the latter was launched in 2013.

However, the major advantage of having the present generation PlayStation 4 or Xbox One is that the developers generally tend to release their games on the latest generation console versions.

Moreover, it is pretty rare that a current game releases on the PS3 or the Xbox 360 when it has already released on the latest generation Xbox One and PS4. However, if the game is very popular, the developer might decide to release it on PS3 and Xbox 360 but there needs to be a serious request from the gamers.

Meanwhile, this case seems rather different from the highly anticipated game Gran Turismo 7 which is expected to be released on PlayStation 4 by the end of 2018. This game promises to be a real racing simulator and this prompted a lot of PS3 gamers to upgrade to PS4 so that they get to experience the excellent gameplay to be featured in the upcoming GT 7.
