Meanwhile, an official release date is yet to be announced but News outlets have revealed that Hero 5 will arrive sometime in October. Considering the recent financial troubles of the company, GoPro is expected to make a final change in 2016. Besides introducing much-improved hardware, software, the company also plans to simplify its overall lineup of devices.

The present generation top camera models from GoPro are the Hero 4 Black and the Hero 4 Silver which was launched in late September 2014 but the company didn’t release an updated+ version a year later which it did with the Hero 3 cameras.
