Final Fantasy XV: Rumors and Updates, Amazon Japan Lists Game for A June 2016 Release, Funny Game-Related Artworks Revealed, And More Details

Final Fantasy XV is going to be the next iteration in the popular Final Fantasy series of action role-playing video games developed by Square Enix. The game will be released for the current-gen consoles of PlayStation4 and Xbox One sometime in 2016.

A popular website previously reported that the developers will make an announcement for the game at a special event which is scheduled to be held at the end of the first quarter of 2016 and it will finally be released during the Summer of the same year.

The website pointed out that the developers will not select Fall 2016 to release the game as a lot of other games are set to hit the market during this time which might pose serious competitions to Final Fantasy XV.

Instead, a Summer release, during the month of June might be perfect as the market won’t be crowded by other new games at this time which makes it a great opportunity for Square Enix to roll out a big game like Final Fantasy XV.

Satoshi Kitade, the Programmer of Final Fantasy XV, stated on Twitter that the game has reached its stage of completion and the members of the developmental team are able to play it from beginning to end which is helping them get an overall view of the game.

He also stated that the developers are currently focused on fine tuning the game to perfection while also enhancing and optimizing various gameplay elements to ensure that the game does not have any hiccups during its beta testing.

The developers have finished polishing the first part of the game and are now working on polishing the next part.

The beta testing of the game will definitely attract some key customers who would want to get a firsthand experience of the game and dig out bugs and errors in it if any.

A beta testing will allow the developers to get feedbacks from fans which would help them to incorporate any required changes in the game before it is finally released.

Amazon Japan had previously listed the game for a June 1, 2016, release which looks to be a placeholder date, but fans are assuming that the game might actually see the light of the day on the date listed by Amazon Japan because Square Enix is apparently considering a Summer 2016 release for Final Fantasy XV.

However, it should be noted that the seller selling the game on Amazon is not an official one. It looks like that the mentioned seller is actually a third party seller on the popular online retail store.

The game was initially announced back in 2013 during that year’s E3 and the developers stated that it will be released as a cross-platform game for both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles.

The developers had originally roped in Tetsuya Nomura to helm the director’s chair for the game, but he was later removed from the project and was replaced by Hajime Tabata.

A demo version of the game is currently available for fans who want to get a taste of the upcoming game. The demo version which is called Episode Duscae was released with Final Fantasy Type-0 HD. The demo portrayed an early build of the game and Square Enix even released an update for it after the conclusion of E3 2015.

Episode Duscae received kudos from both fans and critics and the update which was called Episode Duscae version 2.0 brought forth some improvements and enhancements to the game and also integrated some new aspects into it.

However, the demo version was available exclusively to those who had purchased the Final Fantasy Type-0 HD game.
