It is also quite fuel-efficient at 30 miles per gallon. There is also a 4.6L V8 variant which churns out 330bhp and 284lb ft. and for the first time ever, features a cylinder deactivation technology and direct injection with variable valve timing.
Both of these engines come with six-speed transmission along with a new 8-speed automatic transmission and steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters. The Camaro SS is the most powerful, at 6.2-litre small block V8 with 449bhp and 455lb ft. This is quite superior when compared to the 5.0liter V8 in the Ford Mustang capable of 415bhp and 391lb.ft.
The 2016 Chevrolet Camaro features an engine that is quite similar to the Corvette Stingray. The vehicle will be built alongside the Camaro Coupe, at General Motors’ Lansing Grand River Assembly Plant in Michigan. The Coupe is reported to arrive this fall but the convertible won’t be launching until next year.
