Fast & Furious 7: Fifth Largest Movie Ever, Wiz Khalifa’s Song A Huge Hit, And More Details

Fast and Furious 7 is a very special movie for the fans of the franchise and Paul Walker. Paul Walker had been an inseparable part of Fast and Furious. He played the role of the law enforcement officer Brian O’Conner until his untimely demise in a tragic car accident on December, 2013.

The film was already on the floor, when the tragedy struck and the entire cast and crew was shocked. The production team immediately set to work to try and make Fast and Furious 7 a tribute to Walker’s memory; incorporating scenes for which he had already before his death.

Fast and Furious 7 was expected to be a hit given that it would be the last film where fans would be able to see Paul Walker on screen and Walker’s fans worldwide wanted to see how the writers have decided to work the film to give Walker’s O’Conner a happy ending.

The film smashed all expectations and went on to become the fifth biggest films ever. Fast and Furious 7 was at the top of the US chart for over a week. It has done exceptionally well in the overseas markets as well, doing over $1bn business in non-US territories. It is the third film after Titanic and Avatar to do so well.

At the rate at which the film is still doing business, weeks after opening in theatres worldwide, it looks like it will soon cross Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows that is the fourth largest film making $1.34bn. Fast and Furious 7 has already made a box office collection of $1.3bn and it doesn’t seem it like it’s the end for the film.

Fast and Furious 7 has a tribute song for Walker, sung by famous rapper Wiz Khalifa. The song “See You Again” has connected with people who haven’t even seen the film. The song is featured in the film, playing in the background, when Walker’ O’Conner drives away.
