Fast and Furious 8: Will There Be A CGI Version of Brian O’Conner? Vin Diesel Hints at Spinoff, And More

Fast and Furious 8 was officially announced by Ron Meyer who is the vice chairman of NBC Universal. The movie will be a part of the three-part finale that the studio has planned. Fans are very curious to know if Paul Walker’s character will be there in the upcoming installment.

Ron Meyer informed that Brian O’Conner will not be a part of the film in the way he had previously been a part, however, there can’t be a proper Fast and Furious film without the character being alluded to. Meyer informed fans that Paul Walker’s character will be represented in some form or another.

This has prompted fans to speculate that there might be a CGI version of Brian O’Conner in Fast and Furious 8. However, given that this isn’t the last film of the franchise, the team will have to make sure that they are up for the task of creating a CGI version of the character and depict him in the other two films that will follow.

Given that Paul Walker’s Brian O’Conner is an important aspect of the Fast and Furious family, fans will not be pleased with a CGI version that doesn’t look like the real actor. Given the expectation, it is likely that the creative team will steer clear of all the controversies.

There is also a possibility that Paul Walker’s Brian O’Conner can be portrayed by the actor’s younger brother Cody Walker. Cody Walker had done the role of Brian O’Conner as his body double, but it will not be easy to place Cody Walker in place of the late actor for the whole movie.

Following the sudden demise of Paul Walker, the team had to rework on the whole plot for Fast and Furious 7. Unlike the scenario in real life, the creative team wanted to give Paul Walker’s character a happy ending in the film.

Neal H. Moritz, the producer of Fast and Furious 8, has confirmed that Paul Walker or his character will not be a part of the film.

He said that everyone is sad about the sudden demise of the beloved actor, but there are some things in life that one has to make peace with. He said that while Brian O’Conner’s character will be badly missed in Fast and Furious 8, there are lots of other things that are left to be explored.

Australia Network News reported that Vin Diesel has plans of including new characters in Fast and Furious 8. There are reports that he wants his co-star from The Last Witch Hunter, Helen Mirren to be a part of the film. Rumors suggest that Vin Diesel is also keen on having Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone as a part of Fast and Furious 8.

Vin Diesel went on to state that each of the characters in the franchise have a very rich history and story. The actors have been portraying these roles for a very long time now and if they decide to tap on individual stories then there will be a variety of interesting standalone films.
