Yellow Diamond isn’t going to be the only villain that Steven and his friends will have to face in Steven Universe Season 2. They will also see the role of Lion being explored. There are going to be doubt about Lion’s loyalty since there is a mystery surrounding it, but it is likely that the Lion is a Bismuth gem and is going to end up becoming a member of the Crystal Gems since Lion was compassionate towards earth and Steven.
There are a lot of theory regarding Lion’s identity. Some reports suggest that Lion had a close bond with Rose Quartz, who is Steven’s mother and Steven Universe Season 2 will see that Lion has humanoid powers and is actually Pink Pearl who has taken the form of Lion in order to become a part of Crystal Gems without giving up her real identity and also be able to stay close to Steven to protect him.
With fans waiting for Steven Universe Season 2, they can check out the early Halloween special comic series that has been released by Steven Universe and The Crystal Gems #1. The full length comic series that has been written by Josceline Fenton shows Steven and the Crystal Gems enjoying a day on the beach where they share scary stories.
Steven tells them scary stories and then when Pearl, Garnet and Amethyst start with their stories, Steven freaks out and has to be convinced that they are all stories and not real.
