The fans have decided to take matters into their hands and have to start a petition that will urge the network and the creator to start working on Penny Dreadful Season 4 since a show of its caliber deserves a longer run. Some feel that the death of Vanessa was a bad move on the part of the creator, and he has also introduced quite a lot of characters in the third season and didn’t address all the issues.
Two petitions are currently on Change.org. One which requests Netflix to pick up the gothic drama because of its rich and original content and the other one for CBS and John Logan, requesting them to end the show in a manner that is deemed fit for such a popular show.
There have many ideas that have been brought forward by the fans. Some understand that John Logan had always intended to end the series in such a manner, but have urged the showrunners to come out with a shorter finale or a small movie that will give Penny Dreadful a better ending, where all the ends are tied, and all queries answered.
The fans seem to be warming up to the fact that Penny Dreadful Season 4 doesn’t look like a possibility at all. This is because John Logan had laid down the plans for the season finale of Season 3 when he was working on Penny Dreadful Season 4 and David Nevins, Showtime president had a clear idea about this.
