Expect Style and Efficiency from the Samsung Chromebook 2, Google Rolls Out the Play Store for Chrome OS!

Those Chromebooks that have been manufactured after 2014 will be getting the Google Play Store soon, but those manufactured prior to 2014, will not be able to run it. This news has shocked many users and they have failed to understand the reason for this decision.

This decision couldn’t have been taken because of the hardware since Chromebook Pixel, one of the earliest Chromebook, runs on the Intel Core i5 processor and comes with a nifty 4GB RAM.

It looks like the original Chromebooks are being cancelled by Google. The Chromebooks that were launched in 2011 were given five years of support and updates, but they have been dropped off the support list recently. Samsung Series 5 Chromebook, Acer AC700 Chromebook are all heading the same way.

The users are still baffled as to what is happening since Google has informed that the automatic updates that used to be available on these devices are no longer guaranteed.

Google has informed that the development in technology renders the hardware and the technology used in these devices, out-of-date, and hence they cannot guarantee that the features of the old Chromebook will work with the new OS that keeps rolling out.
