There is still no exact premiere date for Daredevil Season 2 but people have been talking a lot about the upcoming series. Drew Goddard was the original showrunner of Daredevil but he left this role in order to focus on his other project, which is Sinister Six. However, in spite of that, Drew is still involved in the Daredevil Season 2 writing room.
This is what he told Collider, “We try never to make pushing the boundary the goal. If that makes sense. You just do what’s right for the character. I think what’s nice about Netflix is that we have the freedom to be a little more adult.
But none of us sits in the writer’s room and say, ‘Let’s shock everyone today.’ You know, that’s not really the goal. It’s more about what the characters are going through. Obviously these characters — Frank [Castle/Punisher], deal with darker, dirtier things.”
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed by Marvel that Elektra will be introduced in the next season and her role will be played by Elodie Yung. In the comic version of Daredevil, Elektra is a really well-known character but in the comic Bullseye kills her after Daredevil falls in love with her. We are still not aware whether this will be the case in the series.
At the same time, we know that Bullseye will be appearing in Daredevil Season 2 and as a result, there is a possibility that she might die. According to Movie Pilot, Elektra and The Punisher have already been confirmed for the upcoming season, Luke Cage and Jessica Jones is bound to make an appearance while Bullseye will definitely turn up as well.
At this time, Daredevil is looking pretty filled up with its assortment of heroes and villains. All of them had a really key role to play in the comic book Civil War. At the same time, it has been confirmed by Marvel that The Punisher will be appearing in the season 2 of Daredevil and he will be played by actor John Bernthal.
