Elder Scrolls 6: Gamers Expecting Multiplayer Option, Reports Indicate that the Name ‘Argonia’ is More Favored Than Redguard!

Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim was released back in 2011 and it’s been 5 long years since then but no successor has been released so far by Bethesda. Bethesda has the tendency of releasing a new game in their franchise every four years. Hence, they should have released a new title by now and gamers are expecting this it to happen this year.

Elder Scrolls Online was recently released but it is not at all a sequel to Skyrim. Therefore, Bethesda is currently under a lot of pressure to finally release the 6th valid title in the Elder Scrolls series. Ubisoft recently conducted a survey asking gamers as to what title they are highly expecting at the moment.

The most highly-expected title that was revealed out this survey is Elder Scrolls or Skyrim 2 as many gamers are calling it. Pine Hine (VP of PR and Marketing at Bethesda Softworks) recently confirmed that Elder Scrolls 6 is presently under development which is a major relief. He further said that it is quite rare to have a franchise like they do.

He acknowledged how people joke about when Skyrim 2 is going to release and declared that is what people would generally expect from a developer: Spit out a sequel in the next 2 years. However, this is now how Bethesda works and they don’t have a headline that says ‘‘what’s our 25 titles for 2015’’.

It is clear that he is implying that Bethesda commits itself to a few titles and then develops them in the best manner possible. After looking at games like Assassins Creed Unity, I for one believe that developers should strictly adhere to this policy.  It’s better to play no game than play one from your favorite series which is buggy, glitch and poorly developed.

Overall, it creates a negative impact on your experience so far. Pete Hines further declared. “We do smaller stuff, we don’t publish to scale, and we try to publish to quality. Make sure everything we do is noteworthy. Our approach to that hasn’t differed. Here and there we might change our approach to how it’s presented but we’ve still stuck to who we are.”

There are reports which currently state that Elder Scrolls 6 will be releasing in June next year but Yibada declares that the game could be releasing as early as March next year. Keep in mind that all the reports coming out right now are simply speculations and Bethesda is yet to officially announce a release date for Elder Scrolls 6.

Bethesda Softworks should definitely finalize and launch a sequel as fast as possible since there are reports claiming that another developer is working on Skyrim 2. However, considering the right and ownership to game characters and the franchise, this doesn’t make sense but developing a Skyrim 2 that promises a separate experience from the Elder Scrolls franchise is actually quite feasible.

In the meantime, there are rumors which suggest that the dragons that were revealed in the earlier game of this franchise could return in the upcoming game. If you remember correctly, it was Alduin who awakened the dragons and quite a few of them were vanquished in the end of Skyrim. However, a lot of them survived and escaped. As a result, it is possible that they could return in the upcoming game.

Meanwhile, there are a lot of opinions regarding which title would set Elder Scrolls 6. People are mostly divided between these two names: Argonia and Redguard. However, recent trends indicate that Argonia has won over Redguard. One of the provinces in Tamriel is named Argonia and this is presently believed to be the location of the game.

At the same time, the lack of any information regarding the possible multiplayer gameplay for the upcoming title is driving fans crazy. Bethesda won’t be releasing Elder Scrolls 6 this year but they announced in QuakeCon 2015 that Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel DLC will be launched soon.

  1. I don’t want the elderscrolls 6 to be Argonia or Redguard. I’m hoping for a combination of valenwood, elswehr, (the combined size of skyrim) and perhaps the summerset isles. You could call it Aldmeris as it is the home of the Aldmeri Dominion. There are awesome forests and savannas and oceans. Also, after the mayhem with the Thalmor in Skyrim, why not take it to the home of the Thalmor and the Aldmeri dominion.
