E3’s Demo of Deus Ex Mankind Divided Wins Hearts, Hints at Controller Compatibility, Includes Arcade VR Game Within Main Game, And More

E3 introduced the players to a new take on the legendary 1999 game, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and it has impressed the players. The game they feel, is one of the hardest they have seen and it will take more than thirty minutes to be play and is one where the plot of the game cannot be grasped by merely watching a cut scene.

The players cannot go through short cuts in order to finish a mission. It demands a lot from the players and they will have to divest some time to Deus Ex: Machina Divided if they want to get the full experience from it.

PC World has reported that the Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is a very interesting mix of elements. It is a shooter game, while at the same time being a stealth game. It is at the same time an RPG and an action game. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided doesn’t have an open-world, but it is far less linear than games like Call of Duty.

The game gives the players the chance to play the missions a second time, to discover things that they didn’t notice in the first instance and learn tactics that didn’t quite understand when they played it the first time.

This is something that the players can learn and understand only when they play the full game of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided since this experience cannot be derived from a demo.

The Deus Ex: Mankind Divided brings back Adam Jensen from Human Revolution. He is older with wrinkles. Adam Jensen is back since he has been given the duty to infiltrate into a hotel in Dubai and get his hands on a much wanted criminal. Yes, the mission is a difficult one, but things get worse when the whole thing has to be carried out in the midst of a sandstorm.

There have been reviews of the game where the player has used the non-lethal way and has instead of shooting the bad guy, used a tranquilizer to incapacitate him. The gamer went on to suggest that while the tranquilizer gun can be handy sometimes, it doesn’t help in a fight, especially when the player has been spotted climbing into the compound.

Even though Deus Ex: Mankind Divided doesn’t have an open-world there are a lot of alternate ways for the players to explore. There are several routes down which they can send Jensen.

There is a vent close to the ceiling and also a scaffolding. The players can even find out weak spots on the wall and get Jensen to punch it down with his metal fist. While this isn’t a stealthy move, it does help in some situations.

The gameplay is elaborate with a sprawling architecture that allows enough possibility to move stealthily. Since the demo has an option to choose between a lethal and a non-lethal weapon, the players are hopeful that the real game will pack in an elaborate arsenal. There are a number of ways to customize Adam Jensen as well.

There is another thing that made Deus Ex: Mankind Divided stand apart from the other games. The game starts with a hint that the main person, Jensen, might not be very trustworthy.

After the drop off in the helicopter, his teammate jokingly asks him whether he should worry about Jensen turning on his team and while Jensen brushes it aside, there is a moment of fear and the players know that the game is going to be very different from the other shooter games that they have engaged in.

  1. You’re wrong about Jensen not being trustworthy. His teammate told him that because augmented people were hacked and suffered from hallucinations and brain damage in the previous game, his response was sarcastic because the other guy is a douchebag.
