Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 Unlikely to Contain Contents from Dragon Ball Super, Players to Have the Ability to Fly in-game!

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is an upcoming fighting role playing game that is being developed by Dimps. It will be published by Bandai Namco Entertainment for the platforms of Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Fans have been quite forthcoming with ideas and suggestions regarding the upcoming game. One of the most requested things by fans is contents from Dragon Ball Super. Apparently, fans want the developers to incorporate contents from Dragon Ball Super TV series into the upcoming game.

However, the latest reports suggest that it is unlikely to happen. The TV series made its debut on television back in July 2015. The development of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 had begun before that the TV series began airing.

Masyuki Hirano, the producer of the game was recently enquired whether fans will see contents from the popular TV show in the game. He stated that the developers had already started working on the game before the TV show hit the small screen and thus he was not sure of any content from it will be included in the game.

It is unlikely that the developers would incorporate any Dragon Ball Super story based content into the game. However, chances are there that they might decide to include some skins or characters from the show in the game.

The latest footage of gameplay that was released for the game shows Turles going up against Future Gohan. The character of Turles shares an uncanny resemblance to Goku and thus he is often mistaken with the latter.

However, unlike Goku, Turles is evil in nature and thus he is dubbed as the evil version of Goku. The character made an appearance in the 90s movie The Tree of Might and in it he was the main antagonist.

As for Gohan, he is the son of Chi-Chi and Goku. However, Future Gohan is an alternate timeline version of the original character. Readers can check out the video of Future Gohan vs Turles here.

Hirano came forward with a lot of information regarding the game at the Electronic Entertainment Expo which kicked off on June 14. It was revealed that players will have the ability to fly around in the game.

Canton City will be the focus of the game and all the actions are likely to take place within this city itself. Players will be able to fly around in the city. However, the flying ability will not be unlocked at the beginning of the game.

At the beginning, players will have to walk around and with time and experience, the ability to fly will be unlocked. It was reported that players will be able to fly even when they are engaging in battles with their opponents.

One other request that fans have been putting in for a considerable amount of time is a training mode. Looks like the developers have taken notice of their requests and included a special training mode in the game. This particular mode has been given the name- Training School.

Players will be able to test out their powers and hone their skills using this mode. Hirano himself gave confirmation to the fact that the game will indeed come with a training mode.

Some rumors were doing rounds which stated that the game will include hover boards, Nimbus Clouds and vehicles. Hirano was asked to shed some light on the matter. However, unfortunately he was unable to state whether the rumors are true or whether they are fake.

Some brand new online gameplay features will also be available to players in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2. It has previously been stated by Bandai Namco that up to six players will be able to battle with each other simultaneously in the multiplayer mode.
