Dismal Pre-Order Numbers for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare Reported, When Is the Game Releasing and What Will It Be About? Let’s See

VG Charts recently revealed that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s pre-order numbers aren’t looking too good at all. From the looks of it, the franchise is performing dismally even before the game released. Therefore, what does it mean for the original game?

The pre-order results were recorded on 14th May this year. It was recently revealed that Xbox One pre-orders for the game reached 30,000 while PS4 pre-orders were at 33,000. When you compare it with the pre-order results for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, you will notice that PS4 reached 287,000 while Xbox One reached 423,000.

Meanwhile, Activision came to know about what was being reported and desperately jumped in, to control the damage! Well, the damage was already done when that hate-campaign started. Activision reported that the estimates were quite inaccurate and not even closely linked to the original data.

Activision already announced that pre-orders started strongly and it looked quite smooth. The company is also looking forward to sharing a new gameplay during this year’s E3. The numbers could be inaccurate but a 200k-300k difference from the original numbers isn’t possible. Hence, even if they are inaccurate, they are definitely too low.

The responses from fans were highly negative when Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s trailer debuted on YouTube. After Justin Bieber, it became the second most disliked video on YouTube. The video managed millions of dislikes. It is possible that Activision could see the results of this issue through the pre-order numbers.

Now, it is clear that Activision has already chalked out a plan to turn things around at E3. A lot of fans equally enjoy Battlefield and Call of Duty while another lot are fanboys.

Among them, a lot of fans feel that Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be the end of Call of Duty franchise. Although fans are pissed, they will still continue buying the game.

When will the game finally come out? We already know that Infinite Warfare will release with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.

The CEO of Activision, Eric Hirshberg, already declared that they will be honoring the Call of Duty heritage by taking players to amazing new heights. Activision announced that more details will be revealed at E3 2016.

The developer will have its own booth during the E3 event. Reports indicate that the game will release on 4th November in the UK. On Twitter, Activision started calling it Call of Duty 2016. At that time, fans thought that it could be anything, ranging from Advanced Warfare 2, Ghosts 2 or Black Ops 4.

When it finally launches in November, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be released on PC, Xbox One, and PS4. Now, keep in mind that Infinite Warfare comes in many different variants. Firstly, you have the Standard Edition, which is available at a price of 44.99 pounds.

Next, the Digital Legacy Edition and the Legacy Edition is available for 69.99 pounds. It includes Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered.

The Digital Deluxe Edition includes both these games along with a season pass. The price is yet to be disclosed for this one. The Legacy Pro Edition is available at 109.99 pounds and includes the official game soundtrack, a collectible SteelBook along with extra digital items.

In other news, Forbes talked about 5 best possible theories involving Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. The words Infinite and Infinity are almost the same. It is possible that this upcoming game will be a compilation of sorts, something like a remaster collection of previous titles in the Modern Warfare series.
