Deadpool, Gambit and Olivia Munn’s Psylocke Starring in X-Men: Apocalypse with Recent Photos Revealing Jubilee, Jean and Scott, More Information

Recent speculations suggest that there is a silent competition going on between X-Men: Apocalypse and Captain America: Civil War in order to see which movie can fit in the most number of superheroes. There is a good indication that when all is said and done, X-Men: Apocalypse might take the crown with the largest number of superheroes.

There has been a recent confirmation of Angel playing a highly anticipated role in the proceedings. Brian Singer revealed that Olivia Munn will be joining the cast as Psylocke while Lucas Till’s Havok from X Men First Class will also make an appearance. Similar to the X-Men character of Angel, Psylock has a strong bond to the original material storyline of Marvel’s Age of Apocalypse.

Psylocke’s connection to the character known as Angel and his darker incarnation Archangel will serve as a pertinent approach in X-Men: Apocalypse. Both of these characters were members of Horsemen of the Apocalypse and her psychic capabilities played a huge role in Warren Worthington III being able to achieve control over his Archangel alter-ego.

Both of Psylocke’s back stories are quite messy with ‘Days of the Future Past’ and ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’, featuring different incarnations of her character. As a result, viewers will be able to witness that Bryan Singer and the X-Men: Apocalypse movie decides to go with his character.  Her powers frequently resemble that of Jean Grey’s who will also make an appearance in X-Men: Apocalypse. Viewers will be excited to see some interesting psychic battles erupting between the two.

Right now the biggest X-Men: Apocalypse news is that IGN had a chat with X Men and Fox’s Mutant overlord Simon Kinberg when they were able to talk to him during the Star Wars celebration. He also answered some queries regarding the future plans for X-Men: Apocalypse along with what’s in store for the next year. It seems like Gambit and Deadpool will be making 2016 a great year for Fox’s Marvel movies.
