The game would release by the end of 2016 or Capcom might be talking about the fiscal year, in which case, it would launch sometime before 30th March 2017. It is clear that Capcom plans to introduce older games of the series in Remastered versions.
By the end of 2016, we should witness the release of Resident Evil 4 and 5 for the new-generation consoles.
Typically, Capcom doesn’t have a press conference planned for E3, compared most other companies like Microsoft, Nintendo or Sony. Resident Evil fans are waiting to tune into some of the major press conferences in order to find out details about the upcoming game.
While Resident Evil plans to return to its roots, there is a possibility that this idea might fail. This is because fans don’t wish to see the protagonist travel through the same areas, attempting to solve indecipherable key puzzles and fleeing from the most basic kind of RE enemy because he is carrying more plants that bullets.
No one really wants all that. Capcom needs to mess with us in a really smart and innovative way in order to bring back our interest in this franchise.
