Donald Trump, today, named Ben Carson the next Secretary of the department of Housing and Urban Development..

The 65 year old retired Neurosurgeon from Detroit, has authored numerous insightful political books in recent times. The president-elect, today, offered Carson this job – having recently declined an initial offer to be included in Trump Cabinet. He was offered the Job as a secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services; Dr. Carson however rejected the offer as he was reluctant and not well prepared to take on the position. stating that he lacked the expertise needed to oversee such a huge Agency and his actions may possibly spell doom for Trump. But judging by the recent announcement from the president-elect himself, Carson has finally accepted to be included in Trump’s administration, to work under the department of housing and urban development.
According to Trump, he believes Ben Carson has a brilliant mind and one with a commited devotion to strengthening urban communities. Carson will be the first African-American to be included in the next administration’s cabinet.
Trump believes Carson shares his optimism, “Ben shares my optimism about the future of our country and optimism about the future of our country and is part of ensuring that this is a presidency representing all Americans”. He stated.

It would be recalled that Donald Trump pointed out several personality flaws of Ben Carson on social media when they where still rivals, both vying for the seat of the presidency. Trump made quite a handful of derogatory comments on social media, one of such tweets reads thus

“With Ben Carson on wanting to hit his mother on head with a hammer, stabbed a friend and pyramid built for grain storage, dont people get it?”.

Carson’s failure in primaries, opened a new window for both individuals to bury the hatchet and settle their differences. Which was solidified before the eyes of their supporters in March 2016, when Carson publicly endorsed Donald J. Trump for president.

Trump made the announcement on twitter

” I am thrilled to nominate Dr@RealBenCarson as our next Secretary of the US Dept. Of Housing and Urban Development” he tweeted.

Trump’s administration promises to exceed the expectations and demands of American citizens. The US Senate will have to decide if Trump’s nominees have the qualities and qualifications needed to successfully manage the affairs of the nation.
