Battlefield Hardline: Betrayal DLC to Be Released in March, Remade Version of Grand Bazaar Map of Battlefield 3 Coming!

The first-person shooting video game, Battlefield Hardline was jointly developed by Visceral Games and EA DICE and it was released for PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 back in March 2015. Just in the recent past, it was announced that the developers will release a DLC for the game. This DLC will be the last one that will be released for Battlefield Hardline.

This particular expansion pack has been titled Betrayal. It will bring several new aspects to the game which include new maps, new weapons, new vehicles and a brand new feature. It has been confirmed that the Betrayal DLC will add four new maps to the game.

That apart, the expansion pack will also incorporate two brand new vehicles and seven new weapons to Battlefield Hardline. The new feature that the update will bring with itself is being called Gun Bench.

This new feature will enable players to customize the various weapons and uniforms of the game as per their choice. As for the new maps, it was reported that they have been named- Cemetery, Alcatraz, Chinatown and Thin Ice.

It was also reported that the new expansion pack will introduce swords to the game as usable weapons. Both the police force and the robbers will be able to use the swords. With swords being introduced, fans can expect to engage in more amount of close combats after the application of the update.

Along with the Gun Bench feature, another new feature is also headed towards fans via the update. This is the Gun Range feature. The Gun range will allow players to test their weapons after customizing them.

The Gun Bench feature can be utilized by fans to change the colors and camos of their weapons and uniforms. It will also allow them to alter the reticles and sights of the weapons.

Alongside the Betrayal update, the developers will also release a free update.  This free update will add 11 new additional weapons to the game apart from the ones that will be added via the Betrayal update. Several server presets will also be introduced to the game via this update.

Dice has just released a brand new trailer which showcases the various aspects of the upcoming DLC. The new video highlights the various maps that the DLC will incorporate into the game.

The following can be found in the description section of the trailer- “So, it’s all come down to this. You’ve assembled a crew, pulled off the perfect heist, and made a whirlwind escape from the police. Now, there are enemies lurking in the frozen shadows, dark figures hiding behind crumbling mausoleums, and confrontations brewing in back alleys and federal prisons.”

Needless to say the video only increases the anticipation of fans for the upcoming DLC. For Premium members, the DLC will be available for download from March 1. However, Non-Premium members will not be able to download it before March 15.

A renowned website reports that the Chinatown map is actually a remake of the Grand Bazaar map from Battlefield 3. After the Chinatown map was portrayed in the video, various forums have been abuzz with this particular discussion.

The Grand Bazaar map, found in Battlefield 3, was one of the most popular maps of the game. The news of a remade version of the map coming to Battlefield Hardline has taken the level of excitement among fans to a new high.

Various reports state that the developers have kept the overlay-system of the map same while remaking it. However, Battlefield hardline features a faster-paced movement system compared to Battlefield 3 and thus a number of tweaks have been introduced to the map which will enable it to adapt to the new system.
