The StageFright malware has continued scaring Android users as the carriers and OEMs started releasing that security fixes just recently. The OEM has finally started releasing for the software version V2.20.40.59_20150807 of the Asus Zenfone 2 and Zenfone users can finally breathe a sigh of relief.

The newly released software version not only includes fixes for the vulnerability but also includes several minor fixes, upgrades and updates. However, the Zenfone users are most concerned about the aspect which will protect their device from getting the dangerous malware which present malicious parties with your personal information.

The bad thing about the StageFright Malware is that it enters through an MMS and Android scans an MMS as soon as it is received, even if you haven’t opened it yet. Hopefully, the latest security patch created by Google will ensure that your smartphone remains safe. Besides the new patch, Android users will also be able to enjoy a new mobile manager application.

Through this application, users can keep track of things like notifications, data usage, boosts, and power saver among others. There is a new functionality available with a new clock theme in case you are making use of a new flip cover. The software upgrade is presently available for the model number ZE551ML. You can download the update manually from the Asus site.
