Asus Zenfone 2 Variants Zenfone Go and Zenfone Selfie Makes an Entry While Moto X Play Is a Strong Competitor, More Details!

Asus Zenfone 2 is one smartphone that has a lot of variants in the market. It was released by the Taiwanese tech company in January this year and since then it has spawned a lot of new variants. It is one of the most cost-affordable smartphones that has the ability to rival some of the best flagships in the market right now.

When it was released, the Asus Zenfone 2 made some noise since it was the first device to feature a 4GB RAM under the hood. As a result, it is highly powerful and fast enough to process any amount of data that is thrown at it by any number of smartphone applications. It is also a great value for money device, designed for people who are on a strict budget.

There are already a lot of Zenfone 2 variants but even then, Asus launched another variant in 23rd September in India, which is meant for the entry-level market segment.

This is the latest Zenfone Go smartphone which comes with a MediaTek 6580 SoC with a quad-core CPU clocking at 1.3GHz. It comes with a 5inch display supporting a display resolution of 720, 8GB of internal storage along with 2GB of RAM.

The internal storage is further expandable using a microSD card. The device also has an 8 megapixel rear facing camera that makes use of f/2.0 lens, dual-SIM support and a 2megapixel front camera. Other than that, it also has 3G connectivity and a 2,070mAh battery.

It comes with 100GB of Google Drive Cloud storage which is available for two years, according to Android Central. The Zenfone Go further runs on the latest Zen UI and Android 5.1 Lollipop. When you compare this device to some of the entry level smartphones in the same segment, you will notice the glaring absence of 4G LTE connectivity.

There’s also another smartphone variant for the Zenfone 2, known as the Zenfone 2 Selfie. This is again one of those feature-targeted smartphones that was released by Asus following the release of their Zenfone 2. It has a price tag that is higher than the Zenfone 2.

It has a genuine great hardware and includes an awesome battery life, great camera, pure UI and also a 32GB internal storage which can be expanded using a microSD card and at the same time, it supports great hardware.

When you are looking for cons, know that the Zenfone Selfie suffers from the occasional lag, pre-installed bloatware which cannot be removed, weirdness with the touch screen and a slow-loading camera.

The Zenfone Selfie has a 5.5-inch display with a full-HD display resolution of 1920×1080. The device has a micro USB port located in the bottom and is made up of a combination of plastic and glass. This device has a 13megapixel rear and front-facing camera and this is actually the major feature of this device.

The other features include f/20 aperture, 28-mm focal length, and a dual-color Real Tone flash. A laser autofocus module is further included in the rear facing camera. The device runs on a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor which is divided into a 1.7GHz quad-core and 1 GHz quad-core, with 3GB RAM and Adreno 405 graphics under the hood.
