Asus Zenfone 2 Review, Compared to the Motorola Droid Turbo!

The Asus Zenfone 2 comes with hardware that is sure to pack a major punch even though it is intended for the mid-range Android Smartphone market. Due to its powerful hardware, the Zenfone 2 can be compared with high-end flagship devices in the market right now.

Can the Zenfone 2 match against devices like the Motorola Droid Turbo, Apple iPhone 6 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4? The Asus Zenfone 2 comes as a budget offering with a price tag of $300 but includes formidable hardware under the hood. The ZE551ML model comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage capacity.

The $300 variant is powered by a quad-core 64-bit 2.3 GHz Intel Atom processor, 4GB worth of RAM and 64GB of storage and has a 5.5inch display with a full-HD resolution of 1920X1080. The Zenfone 2 also has a cheaper $200 variant with 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and a 1.8GHz processor.

Let us compare it to the Droid Turbo, a decent performing device in the high-end Android Segment. The Droid has a slightly smaller screen measuring 5.2inches. The Zenfone 2 also has the possibility of increasing its storage capacity with a microSD card but the Droid lacks this feature. Verizon’s Motorola Droid Turbo is undoubtedly a supreme device with upgraded specifications since the last Droid and a design that is quite eye-catchy.

It has an AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560×1440 and a pixel density of 565ppi. Compared to that, the Asus Zenfone 2 has a 5.5inch full-HD display with 403ppi. It uses a 2.7GHz 32bit Quad-Core 805 processor. It also comes with 3GB of RAM and includes 32GB of internal storage.

Camera quality is not bedazzling in the 21MP rear shooter with Sony sensor. There is no OIS, but you get LED Flash as well as Auto-Focus. The Turbo has 2MP secondary camera but don’t except much from it. In the camera department, all we can say is that the Asus Zenfone 2 is tolerable.

It has 13MP rear shooter with LED Flash and Auto Focus but same as the Turbo, it doesn’t include Optical Image Stabilization. However, the users get a 5MP secondary camera which is great for selfies and video conversations.

The Motorola Droid Turbo has a 3900mAh non-detachable battery and you get the Turbo charger as well. The device includes additional features like a waterproof nano-coating, a front-facing speaker and a Turbo Charger with a built-in wireless.
