Arrow Season 4: Felicity Struggles with Her Paralysis, Oliver Crying Beside a Tomb!

The midseason finale of Arrow Season 4 had shown Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) getting shot in an assassination attempt on Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell). The Ghosts of Damien Darhk had tried to kill Oliver after he made the announcement that he would become the mayor of Star City.

The midseason premiere of Arrow Season 4 picked up from there and showed how Felicity was completely affected after she was paralyzed in the shooting. She couldn’t understand how she would be able to be a part of Team Arrow now that she was bound to a wheel chair.

She slowly starts getting accustomed to the life in the wheelchair and is trying to battle with her inner self. She has an inner demon and she will have to take control of it if she wants to be a part of Team Arrow. Rickards has done a great job in the manner in which she has portrayed the change in herself.

In the very next episode, we see that Felicity has been able to control her mind and she has reached a place where she has figured out her place in Team Arrow. She gets the nickname Overwatch that Oliver gives her and is ready for the new life as a super hero from that of a hacker.

The remaining part of the series focuses on John Diggle (David Ramsey) who is out with his partner Lyla (Audrey Marie Anderson), who was a former member of A.R.G.U.S, but is now the mother to his child. The two are busy in an argument as to whether they should go back home or simply pay the babysitter for another hour when they are met by a friend.

The person informs that he has been compromised and will not be able to A.R.G.U.S, but before he can say anything more, he is shot from the back. Diggle also gets hit in the process and he isn’t able to chase the guys to shot their friend. Lyla gets in touch with Amanda Waller (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) at A.R.G.U.S. to find out more about the incident.

Waller refuses to help Lyla and Diggle on the issue, but gives a flash drive to Lyla with information relating to Shadowspire. According to International Business Times, Team Arrow, traces the other partner of the murdered man and find out that he is stationed in Afghanistan.

They had been working with Shadowspire when it used to be a military organization unlike the evil force that it has now become. Both of them are offered the chance to work for a secret activity under the organization. Andy (Eugene Byrd) agrees to do it and this gives him all the information about them.

Shadowspire is an organization that has been scratched off by A.R.G.U.S and Andy used to be a part until he joined Damien Darhk’s Ghost. Shadowspire create havoc in Star City and Team Arrow isn’t completely ready for it.

Felicity stands up during the crisis and proves that she has what it takes to be a member of Team Arrow. Master Herald has reported that Darhk and Baron Reiter, the head of Shadowspire are associated with Andy. This implies that all the dark and evil magic is stemming from them and it clarifies a lot of things in Arrow Season 4.
