Even NBC Chairman, Robert Greenblatt officially announced that the team at Hairspray Live! were thrilled to have Ariana Grande, one of the biggest star in the music industry, in their cast.
Greenblatt went on to add that Ariana Grande had always been a Broadway baby since she had made her debut at the age of 15 and it would be a delight for her fans to see yet another side of the multi-faceted singer. She has already made her mark in standup comedy on Saturday Night Live.
While a majority of the characters have been cast, the role of Seaweed, Link Larkin, Tracy’s love interest and Tracy’s rival, Amber Von Tussle haven’t been finalized yet. The producers are still looking for actors to fill in for these characters.
Ariana Grande in another news was recently at the Hollywood Bowl’s special screening of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, accompanied by live orchestra by the Los Angeles Philharmonic. She Snapchatted her experience all throughout the evening, much to the excitement of her fans.
Ariana Grande has always confessed to being a Potterhead and spoke about reading the books while on her world tour. Her friends had even made her a Harry Potter themed music video for her birthday.
