Apple iPhone 7 Will Use Force Touch Technology With Rumors Claiming A September 2015 Release, And More Details

Meanwhile, the reports that emerged in mid-April suggest that the upcoming iPhone model is going to be quite different and comparatively better than the Apple iPhone 6. Moreover, Apple has decided that the iPhone 6S name doesn’t quite fit and they will instead launch an iPhone 7 this summer. According to Ming-Chi Kuo of KGI Securities, the biggest differences between Apple iPhone 6 and the next device is going to be the Force Touch display.

Apple currently makes use of the Force Touch technology on the new Apple Watch and the MacBook. However, according to Kuo, the technology this time around will be a bit different as instead of measuring the pressure that is exerted on the screen by the user, it will sense the contact area of your finger in order to make a finer distinction.

Meanwhile, there are no solid details regarding the exact release date of the iPhone 7 so for now, let’s stick to the rumors which suggest a September 2015 release. The design of the present generation iPhone 6 and 6 Plus features a major change over the previous 5th generation devices. Traditionally, with the release of their S variants, the design is quite similar to the previous iPhone’s design. Hence, we shouldn’t be expecting a major design change in the upcoming model.
