Apple iPad Mini 5 Expected to Release in September, Rumors Circulating About It Being Waterproof and The Addition of a Few New Features!

Conforming to Apple’s customary norm of refreshing its iPad Mini line-up annually, rumours about the unveiling of its next generation iPad Mini, which is allegedly being dubbed the name, Apple iPad Mini 5 will possibly be released in September. The news of the existence of this iPad Mini 5 hasn’t been officially confirmed by Apple yet.

Fans are expectant of its release somewhere around September because last year the Apple iPad Mini 4 was released in the 9th September 2015, while the year previous, saw the Apple iPad Mini 3 come into the markets around that time of the year.

The Apple iPad Mini 3 was released in October of 2014. In the past, consumers have had to wait for at least a week before the iPads were available for sale after announcements.

That changed last September, when Apple began selling its Apple iPad Mini 4 immediately after announcing it. So, fans can cheer up, as they might not have to wait this time to get their hands on the product after Apple announces it. According to MacWorld, the company is planning to improving the device along with its iPad Air line-up.

The Apple iPad Mini 5 is rumoured to be the most robust in its family so far, not just that it will both be upgraded from the inside as well as the outside. Reportedly the iPad Mini 5, is going to bear a striking resemblance with its predecessor, the iPad Mini 4. It will also keep the iPad Mini 4’s 7.9-inch retina display.

However, with the addition of a 7000-series Aluminium chassis or framework, the device is definitely going to be a lot more durable. Plus, the phone has been made considerably thinner than the previous models, it will be just 5mm thick. Apple is also expected to introduce a Rose Gold colour option, which it has done to all its hardware line-ups in the past.

Some of the features that are supposedly accompanying this iPad Mini are 3D Touch; IP68 protection; iOS10 and the inclusion of an Apple Pencil.

As of yet, the only Apple devices that are 3Dtouch supported are, the Apple iPhone 6s and the Apple iPhone 6s Plus. All that is going to change as this cool new feature makes its way into the iPad Mini line-up, this year. What 3D Touch does is, it registers the amount of pressure applied on the screen to provide the user with differing options.

Now, the news that has us salivating is the IP68 certification in this iPad Mini. This will make the tablet dust and water resistant to a great extent, which will also make this device the first in the Apple family to boast of being part of such a technology.

SONY being the alpha dog in this aspect, Samsung too has introduced this feature on its S7 series. This leaves Apple, the only one left to introduce it to its products.

The Apple iPad Mini 5 might hit the markets with the latest iOS10 software. Any new devices which might be released are scheduled to be released with this new software update, including iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The posh Apple stylus, the Apple Pencil, which was introduced alongside the iPad Pro 7.9 might also be seen accompanying this new iPad Mini.

The iPad Mini 5 will come with an upgraded Apple A9 processor chipset as well as M9 motion co-processor, while its antecedent had an A8 processor and a M8 co-processor. The iPad Mini 5 is offered in versions with storage capacities of 16GB, 64GB and the 128GB.

The battery being featured in the iPad Mini 5 will be smaller in order to fit into the 5mm frame but the usage of improved technology, will prevent that negatively impacting the runtime on the device. The iPad Mini 4 featured a 5124mAh battery.
