Apple iPad Air 3 Compatible With Apple Pencil? Likely Launch March 2017, Rumors Of Cancellation

The specs and features of the Apple iPad Air 3 have been kept tightly under wrap by the company. However, not surprisingly some rumors are floating around the internet. According to Christian Times, the iPad Air 3 is going to be slimmer than the iPad Air 2 and is going to have a thickness of 6.1mm. The iPad Air 3 will possess a 9.7-inch display and a resolution of 2048X1536pi.

Some feel that 6.1mm is thin enough for an iPad Air, but it looks like Apple might not stop at 6.1mm and is likely to take it further. The Apple iPad Air 3 is also going to have a more durable aluminum casing, and this is going to make the device stronger than its predecessors.

When it comes to the upgrades that the new iPad Air is going to see, the first is that the device is likely to get the compatibility feature for Apple Pencil. iPad Air 3 is going to be powered by the A10 and will have the A9X chip and will come with an advanced audio system with four speakers. Since the True Tone screen was introduced to the iPad Pro, Apple is likely to bring that feature in for Apple iPad Air 3 as well.

The device is believed to be available in three color options – Space Gray, Silver and Gold. There is a rumor that it might also have a Rose Gold option. The price for the Apple iPad Air 3 is likely to be around $500.
