There was a tease from the man himself this weekend and then it was further confirmed by Alcon Entertainment that Dave Bautista, the wrestler-turned-actor will be cast an important supporting role in the upcoming movie, Blade Runner 2. He will join Harrison Ford as Rick Deckard, alongside Robin Wright and Ryan Gosling in the upcoming film.
Bautista is also currently reprising his role as Drax the Destroyer in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2. He will also be seen in the next Melissa McCarthy comedy The Boss. He will also be in Kickboxer Vengeance, accompanied by Jean-Claude Van Damme and Gin Carano, and he will also play a role in the film Marauders, an action-film by Lionsgate. Dave Bautista was last seen in Spectre, The Man with the Iron Fists and Riddick.
In case you are not aware of it yet, Blade Runner 2 is a film written by Hampton Fancher and Michael Green and set decades after the original film of 1982. Now, it is expected that this movie will be a tremendous success all over the world since the original film was much appreciated worldwide. Moreover, it is clearly the time when remakes or sequels of films released decades back in the past are facing major success among critics and fans alike.
