The owners of Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge under T-Mobile are quite excited to hear that both of these phones are moving up the ladder towards the Android 6.0 update. The software update page of T-Mobile has the phones which have been listed to be in the testing stage. This is actually the second stage out of three.
The site details that the first step is Manufacturer Development. In this stage, T-Mobile and the manufacturer of the device both agree to support a certain software update. Once this stage is complete, the Testing stage arrives during which the device goes through the certification process of T-Mobile.
The last stage is ‘Completed’ which means that the update has received the approval required for launch and the software is available to T-Mobile in order to disseminate it. Meanwhile, the T-Mobile Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge are going through all the necessary testing procedures but we are not yet aware as to how long it will take for Android 6.0 to run on their devices.
The T-Mobile subscribers with either of these models are now a step closer to receiving this particular update. Android 6.0 also comes with Doze which puts the phone in a deep sleep state in order to improve the battery life of the device.
