Android 6.0 Updates Being Tested By T-Mobile, Is It Worth Upgrading The Galaxy S6 To Galaxy S7? Let’s See

The owners of Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge under T-Mobile are quite excited to hear that both of these phones are moving up the ladder towards the Android 6.0 update. The software update page of T-Mobile has the phones which have been listed to be in the testing stage. This is actually the second stage out of three.

The site details that the first step is Manufacturer Development. In this stage, T-Mobile and the manufacturer of the device both agree to support a certain software update. Once this stage is complete, the Testing stage arrives during which the device goes through the certification process of T-Mobile.

The last stage is ‘Completed’ which means that the update has received the approval required for launch and the software is available to T-Mobile in order to disseminate it. Meanwhile, the T-Mobile Galaxy S6 and the S6 Edge are going through all the necessary testing procedures but we are not yet aware as to how long it will take for Android 6.0 to run on their devices.

The T-Mobile subscribers with either of these models are now a step closer to receiving this particular update. Android 6.0 also comes with Doze which puts the phone in a deep sleep state in order to improve the battery life of the device.

Contextual search results based on the content of your screen are now provided by Google Now on Tap. Furthermore, app permissions can be approved on a feature-by-feature basis.

Samsung has released two new flagship models in order to replace the older Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. They were announced at the Mobile World Congress of 2016 and are currently available to buy globally. This handset is set to be one of the most popular phones of 2016.

The Galaxy S7 is supposed to replace the Galaxy S6 but the S6 is quite a fantastic device in itself. They are quite similar in design and offer many impressive features. Therefore, is it worth the upgrade? Should you choose the Samsung Galaxy S7 instead of the S6? In terms of dimensions and weight, the Galaxy S6 measures 143.4 x 70.5 x 6.8mm and weighs a mere 136g.

It features a metal-built premium design and it no longer sports the removable back and the battery found in its predecessors. The design of the S7 is similar to that of the S6 but it is a little smaller, a little heavier as well as thicker. The S7 measures 142.4 x 69.6 x 7.9mm and weighs 152g. The rear edges also have the presence of a curve.

As a result, the slightly thicker build doesn’t make the phone feel worse in the hand but it feels rather nice to hold it as a flat slab. The Galaxy S7 however, is more vulnerable to finger smears which are quite noticeable on the darker finishes.

The microSD support has been introduced on the same tray as the SIM card and the camera lens now sits more flush compared to how it did on the Galaxy S6. 2 other major points of difference are water and dust resistant features which are now available on the Galaxy S7.

The S7 comes with IP68 rating which means that the device is much more resistant than its predecessor. This is quite a great reason to upgrade your device.

The Galaxy S6 has a 5.1inch Super AMOLED display with Quad HD (2650×1440) display resolution. This is a flat display which is different from the curved display on the Galaxy S6 Edge.

  1. The S6 is a horrible phone. From the sounds of it the S7 should of been the next phone after the S5. Samsung listened to their user based and put things back on the phone. To late for me though, I have written Samsung off because the crappy S6.

  3. S6 is really a awful mobile phone. Through the seems than it the S7 must of been another mobile phone right after the S5. Samsung heard their end user place and centered points rear on the phone. We have created Samsung away from as the crappy S6, to later in my opinion however.
