Just recently a leaked document which made its appearance showed a list of smartphones that are scheduled to receive the update. The list showed an uploading status for the update regarding the Note 5 and also stated that the model will receive the update in December 2015.
The list also featured the names of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge and indicated towards a February release of the Marshmallow update for those devices.

The Galaxy Note 3 and the Galaxy S4 will reportedly not receive the update as these devices have not been able to receive approval for the Marshmallow update. A host of smartphones from the Sony stable are going to receive the Marshmallow update.
Sony made announcements at the recently concluded IFA 2015 that a number of Xperia devices will get the update which include – Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia M5, Xperia M4 Aqua, Xperia C4, and Xperia Z4 Tablet.
No specific details as to when these devices will actually get the update have been divulged by Sony yet.
